We welcome school groups, garden clubs, and interested individuals. We are here to share our knowledge with in-depth educational tours of our vivarium and grounds.


We raise native butterflies including Monarchs. Monarch is symbolic of what we are doing to our ecosystem. Diverse species share the same habitat.


Monarch tagging/counts · 18 native butterflies being studied · Native and non-native butterfly host plant research. Here at Butterfly Farms we study Southern California native butterflies.

The mission of Butterfly Farms is to conserve native butterflies and their habitats through education and conservation. Please feel free to browse our website and join us in our efforts of Education, Conservation, and Research.

The Butterfly Farms Vivarium is open Daily to the public from April 1st to November 15th from 10 until 3:00 pm

Luca Micaela Nursery is open from November 1st to 15th, daily from 10:00am to 3:00pm and 10:00am to 3:00pm December to March, weather permitting, for your pollinator needs. Call to request different times

Vivarium visits are available during these hours and a $6 admission donation per person is requested.

Admission for children 2 years of age and younger is free.

Active duty military and their dependants are free of charge
